To rescind Album access, select each profile you wish to remove, and then tap Stop Sharing. After navigating to the My Albums page, tap on “Shared with” to see a list of everyone who currently has access to your Album.
There are a few ways to unshare your Album with other people. XTRA and Unlimited subscribers can share and unshare up to 5 albums at a time from chat. Still, unsolicited Album sharing may cause others to report your profile, and could ultimately lead to your account being banned. We've designed Albums with consent in mind, by blurring Album previews and ensuring Albums must be accepted by the recipient. Though you can share your Album with anyone at any time, you should always ask for consent first.
The My Albums icon will say “sharing” if they currently have access to your Album. You can see who you’re sharing your Album with by navigating to the My Albums page, and tapping on “Shared with.” You can also see if you’re sharing an Album with a specific person by opening your chat conversation with them, and clicking on the camera icon.

Premium subscribers can access all of the Albums they’ve ever received, but if you're using a free account, you'll only have access to the most recent Albums you've received. There is no limit on how many Albums you can receive from other people. All Album recipients will see a gold ring on the Album thumbnail when an Album has new content that they have not yet seen (see more above).Ĭurrently, you can share your Album with up to 5,000 people. New photos added to your Album will be viewable by anyone you’re actively sharing your Album with. Sharing your Album will also send them a push notification if they have notifications enabled on their account. They’ll be able to view your Album directly from your conversation, as well as from your profile, and the Albums tab in their inbox. Once you share your Album, it will appear as a message in your chat history available to both you and the recipient. Tapping on the “My Albums” icon here will prompt you to share your Album with the person you’re chatting. Next, click on the camera icon to access your My Media section.

How to share an AlbumĪll Albums are shared through chats – so, to share your Album with someone, you’ll first need to start a chat with them from their profile. Deleted albums are unshared with all users and all content is purged according to our Data Retention Policy. You can delete an Album by selecting the “.” edit menu on the Album you want to delete and then selecting “Delete Album." Confirm you want to delete the album to complete the deletion process. Videos will play automatically, muted, with the video player buttons hidden. To navigate through an Album, you can tap on the left or right side to go back or forward, respectively. To reorder the videos in your Album, long press and drag any video to a new location. Note: By default, videos are muted when played back. On Android, you can remove the audio once editing is complete. You can remove the audio from a video on iOS while editing the video. Optional: Use the editing tools provided to modify your video.If a video is longer than 15 seconds, the first 15 seconds of the video will be selected. T here is a limit of 1 video per Album, and v ideos must be under 15 seconds and less than 30MB. To reorder the photos in your Album, long press and drag any photo to a new location. To delete a photo while previewing your own Album, click on the three-dot icon on the right-hand side, and then tap “Remove from Album.” To delete a photo from your Album, tap the trashcan icon on that photo. This ring indicates that you’ve added new photos, and will remain for them until they view your Album again (or, until you remove their access). Once you’ve added new photos to your Album, everyone you’ve shared it with will see a gold ring around your avatar when previewing your Album. These are called “previous uploads,” and they’re the same photos as in your My Media section. Upload a photo that you’ve previously sent to via chats.Select an album to edit by clicking the “+” icon.Tap on your profile photo in the upper-left hand corner of your grid.If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to our team here. Albums are designed to add an extra layer of control and privacy over your content - so you can unshare with anyone, at any time. Once you share an Album with someone, they'll be able to see all of its content. An Album can contain up to 10 photos, and one video. An Album is a private collection of photo and video content on your profile that you can share with folks of your choice on Grindr.
