Sure, you should be playing a game to enjoy its story and its gameplay. But sometimes, earning some achievements is good for the soul. Because you know what they say: points make prizes! It’s also helpful if you’re trying to rack up Microsoft Rewards points. Thankfully, there are plenty of games with easy achievements on Xbox Game Pass, covering a wide range of genres. If you’re into story-driven adventures, you’ll absolutely love Firewatch. Set in the 1980s, you find yourself in the shoes of a man escaping from reality by spending his summer working as a lookout deep in the forest.
With only his colleague, Delilah, to talk to via radio, it’s a pretty lonely place to be. You’ll spend your time with the game conversing with Delilah and exploring the forest, uncovering mysteries and finding out more about yourself as you go. Achievement wise, you’ll unlock the majority by simply playing through the game. A handful of achievements are for fiddling with optional things, like meeting the local wildlife, but chances are you’ll do them naturally anyway. If you like puzzle games, they don’t get much better than Gorogoa. A game about arranging and interacting with images to create beautiful scenes, it’ll keep you engrossed throughout its running time. It’s only short – a couple of hours or less – but that bodes well for those of us looking for easy achievements on Xbox Game Pass. Two achievements are missable here, and you’ll likely have to play through with a guide to get them all quickly (there’s an achievement for completing within 30 minutes). We’d recommend playing through the game to simply enjoy it first before jumping back in to mop up the last few achievements.Įvery achievement can be missed in Lake, but don’t let that put you off playing. Essentially, none of them are tied to the story, and they’re all for doing extraneous activities. But look at the achievement list, and you’ll be pointed in the right direction. They’re likely all activities you’ll want to do, anyway, because this quaint story-driven life sim of sorts really gets its claws into you. You’ll play as Meredith Weiss, a woman who’s returned to her sleepy home town after 20 years in a high-powered job in the city. She’s covering her dad’s job as a mailman, and so you’ll spend your time driving around, delivering letters and parcels. There’s a couple of different endings, so you’ll need to replay the last chapter three times to get each different outcome. Life is Strange: True Colors is perhaps our favourite game of all the Life is Strange series. It tells the story of Alex Chen, a young woman who arrives in a picturesque mining town in Colorado. She has plans to start a new life – but things don’t quite go to plan.
You’ll follow her journey as she makes new friends, deals with loss and uncovers a dark mystery that’s been plaguing the town for years. In terms of trophies, you’ll need to do some side activities to get them all, but nothing is missable thanks to chapter select. And you’ll probably be glad of the opportunity to jump back in if you enjoy True Colors anywhere near as much as we did. Read our review of Life is Strange: True Colors 5. You’ll create a town by placing a series of buildings and… that’s about it. You don’t need to worry about the people who live in your town just how it looks. So go crazy by stacking buildings, making them as tall and as wonky as possible.
